As a nation, we have watched the first and second industrial revolutions pass by without effective participation. The industrialized nations have again thrust the information Technology Revolution upon us. This revolution is still in its infancy. Many problems have been solved, but many more need to be solved to realize its promise. We aim to be active players in this revolution. The challenge is to identify some of the problems that need to be solved in information technology and proffer world class solutions. Our efforts will be channeled through manpower development and rigorous research

The department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Caritas University Amorji-Nike Enugu was founded at the inception of the University in 2005. The department places a high premium on morals, learning and academic excellence. Electrical and Electronic Engineering have been involved in design and production of a vast array of electrical machines which are of essential services in homes, industries and commercial / business places.

The discipline of Mechanical Engineering aims to provide education and training necessary for students to follow careers and practicing engineering in industries and the technical branches of the public, private and defence services. The emphasis in the programme is on developing in the graduates the skills to cope with the challenges of a developing country like Nigeria. The courses offered are project oriented, therefore, students are acquired not only to be proficient in the theoretical precept, but also to be creative and innovative in finding solutions to mundane technical problems
